BSc (Hons) (Undergraduate)
The program gives insights into the real-life business management and develops high-level leadership, analytical, cross-cultural and organizational skills. The curriculum across our undergraduate courses balances academic teaching and professional experience, allowing you to apply theory in practice in a way that has been proven to produce highly employable, articulate business professionals who have forged the contacts that will help develop their future careers. This is achieved through our Business Readiness module where, working with your Personal Tutor, you will gather evidence of your knowledge, attributes and skills. Potential employment opportunities would include entry-level positions with firms that conduct business in the global marketplace.
The objective of the Bachelor’s Degree in International Business is to provide both Finnish and international students with a high quality business education and international business experience. This module is designed to develop your understanding of the key developments and issues that affect global business. Additionally, consumers utilising the services of other businesses will switch to a business that is well viewed and liked in the public eye. You’ll also undertake your dissertation this year which should have a strong international business context.
You’ll work alongside other young entrepreneurs and have access to a dynamic network of mentors and business advisors. Through the Study Abroad programme, you could choose to spend your second year studying on an international exchange with one of our global partner institutions in Europe, the US or the rest of the world. Like marketing, financial reporting, business law and others, but also pick up current challenges, like leadership & organisation.
However, if you’re interested in an international business career, don’t give up if you don’t speak another language. The teaching approach includes projects and group works, so that students will soon get accustomed to working in international teams. The two-year Business – International Business diploma concentrates on the complexities of the movement of goods and services across the globe.
Over the next two years, you gain an understanding of the international business environment, analyse business from cultural perspectives, review trade policies, and explore how businesses operate across boundaries. Students will learn the concepts and software used by business organizations in order to simulate real-life problem solving. Many options are available for DBAs that focus on international business, such as at Argosy University.
