Business Management (BComm)
Commercial property management organizations might have to brace themselves for some tough time in the near future as major investors move away from making investments in business related assets. By gaining experience within human resource management before graduating, I will be able to have a clearer mind on whether or not it is definitely something for me. I am so pleased I chose to study business management, as I have had the opportunity to study multiple areas of the business environment rather than studying a specific aspect of business.
The module explores the ways in which organizations acquire, implement, and manage modern Information Systems.Important topical applications of Information Systems are explained, including Business Intelligence, the Human Computer Interface (HCI), Change Management, Information Systems Development, Sustainable Technologies and the New Technologies that are changing the way organisations do business and gather and disseminate information.
Because it’s important to understand the individual contributions that different areas of a business make to an organisation’s overall strength, all first year students at the Norwich Business School study core modules that provide a grounding in the key principles and theories related to management practice, including accounting, finance and business.
The module explicitly addresses the following Quality Assurance Agency benchmarks for Business and Management, that is, subject knowledge and understanding which in terms of the marketing discipline includes, the psychology of consumer behaviour and expectations, the management of resources and operations, along with contemporary and persuasive issues, including globalisation, business innovation and creativity.
Purpose: The purpose of the module is to equip learners with knowledge and skills related to the theoretical concepts and practical skills of the strategic role of production and operations management; including further aspects with regard to the design, planning and control, and improvement of the production/operations management system in organisations.
